I was watching The Soup today and noticed that Jerry avoided non-kosher foods twice. The first time when he ordered the turkey club without bacon and the second time at Mendy's when he shunned the swordfish. However, didn't Jerry have lobster in The Hamptons?

He also didn't eat the pork chops that Holly made for him.

Plus I don't think making out during Schindler's List is very kosher.

Should we be talking about this? I'll tell ya, I think keeping kosher should be discussed in an open forum. But wasn't lobster taken off the market? I read it in Wall Street Week. Louis, uh, Rukeyser.

You think he knows where all the kosher restaurants are?

I'm not Jewish and I know what aisle the Hebrew National hot dogs are in. What d'you think? I've never eaten a Hebrew National hot dog before? Believe me, I've eaten Hebrew National hot dogs hundreds of times. Thousands.

Mr. Cohen always in hot dog aisle. There are no supermarkets on Park Avenue. They do have very nice shops there that sell caviar and pΓ’tΓ©. Maybe even babka. But no hot dogs.

Mr. Cohen is not limited to Park Avenue. He probably has a Cadillac. He drive to market. Stand in hot dog aisle. Sometimes for hours. Mr. Cohen Hebrew National's best customer.

The only time I'll eat one is at my local Sam's Club. They told me at the snack bar that they get a higher quality dog than the ones sold back in the store. I avoid the Polish dog, because it is loaded with extra sugar.

I'm open to suggestions on hot dogs. In Massachusetts, every brand taste's like hog anus (as Homer Simpson would say)

He ate lobster in The Hamptons and The Conversion, he also ate shrimp in The Cafe. I don't think keeping Kosher was a priority for him.

I keep moderately kosher myself avoiding pork and shellfish. Two sets of dishes? Screw that! I have enough trouble keeping the few dishes I have clean.

I believe we just experienced a three-way collision in this thread that gave me a nasty error message then and again when I tried to post this. I had no idea that the goy cared much about whether Jews keep kosher or not.
Third error message said a server is down.

I just watched the Robert Klein special and he mentions "glatt kosher," which means super-kosher. I looked it up and, man, it must be hard to keep perfectly kosher. The rules are so strict and sort of confusing and some seem to be conflicting with each other. Google that term if you are interested because it's kind of cool to read about.
P.S. Elaine's chunnel is not kosher, nor regarded as clean-fill.

I just watched the Robert Klein special and he mentions "glatt kosher," which means super-kosher. I had a snack at a glatt kosher restaurant in Los Angeles back in the '90s. Those restaurants are either dairy or meat, but never both that I have heard of. The one I went to was dairy. It was expensive, so I ruled out having a big meal there. The Jewish business district in L.A. is along Fairfax Avenue, just SW of Hollywood.

Old school.

Love those half sours, but they have to be fresh crispy bright green.
When I went to college, I was one of the first Jews the guys from Wyoming and Montana had ever met. Shocked one guy by having 7 BLTs one day.
