What's the deal with Americans keeping the s in advertise? Was this where we finally drew the line and said why are we changing s to z when we never needed to? But at least we had the good sense to change the pronunciation of "advertisement" from "adver-tiz-ment" to "adver-tize-ment."

I've definitely seen 'em sit. They sit on their stool, they hunch over, they carefully place one foot on the little ladder-step near the bottom of the stool to seem hip with the crowd... They got their cigarette out, taking a drag and exhaling after every joke as if to enhance the punchline with the little smoke billow... it's embarrassing.
