i smell a season 10 eppy! www.al.com/entertainment/index.ssf/2017/10/larry_david_finding_your_roots.html
An arm of his family apparently settled in what is now the Birmingham area, according to a story by The Associated Press, during the 1840s. His great-grandfather owned two slaves and fought for the Confederacy.
David, who plays Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders on Saturday Night Live, also found out he is actually related to Sanders.

Henry Louis Gates Jr. -- the Harvard professor and host of PBS' "Finding Your Roots" -- said he's been trying to get David on his show for years, and he'll finally appear on tonight's season premier. The show traces the ancestral roots of celebrities.
Yeah, Gates probably did this research long ago. He's been itching to get Larry David on camera so he can demand reparations from him.

What a convincing actor Walter Brennan was. Not a native of the rural West, he was from your neck of woods, Lynn, Massachusetts. Real hayseed territory, right?

I believe Amos McCoy should have come from the fictional town of Swampscott, WV. The name fits the character.

It would definitely fit, but Swampscott, Mass. is a bit, let's say, snobby. They probably would have sued.
