What are some films you secretly love?
For Hawkeye-Costanza it would have to be: Maverick (1994), Wild Wild West (1999), Rat Race (2001), You Don't Mess with the Zohan (2008) and some others I can't remember at the moment.

I like quite a few romantic comedies, although I lean more towards romantic dramas. Some favorites off the top of my head:
Enough Said I Love You to Death Frankie and Johnny Unfaithful Along Came Polly The Perks of Being a Wallflower It Could Happen to You Mad Dog and Glory

Haven't seen that one in 25 years, but it's good. I consider nothing guilty about The Rutles. I'm proud to list it as a favorite!

The older I get the more I enjoy watching movies from the 70's, my formative years. Things seem simpler then. Agreed, nothing guilty about The Rutles, also a long time favorite of mine. I remember watching it on tv when I was a teen. Shall I remove it from my list?

One reason I switched to the Times New Roman font is that it's the best one here for displaying the combining diaeresis.

The Rutles is appropriate for all "favorite films" lists. I think until maybe ten years ago, I could recite 75% of the dialogue word-for-word. Age has diminished my memory some I guess.

You want some Pepto for that diaeresis, bro? Imodium is the best remedy I've used for diarrhea. One doctor even says that diarrhea is a form of constipation. I always thought it was the opposite of constipation.

I buy the generic brand of anti-diarrheal medication. You know, I rip off the label, I can hardly tell the difference.

I got burned at CVS not long ago. I paid $6.99 for 2oz. of Iodine and found exactly the same for $3.24 at WalMart. If I ever need an anti-diarrheal again that's where I'll look first.
My ex had a good jingle, "Imodium gets you off the commodium!"

This might be the ultimate guilty pleasure movie for a heterosexual male. Pretty sure Jennifer Connolly was my first celebrity crush.

I think a few of you guys do not know the definition of "guilty pleasure" movies. A popular movie like "This is Spınal Tap" cannot fall under the banner of a guilty pleasure. You need to pick a bad movie that most people/critics hated when it was screened. Like "Ishtar," which I love. (By the way, I just screened "Tap" for a neighbour who had never seen it and she loved it too.) I lent "Taps" (Timothy Hutten) to another different female friend and she loved that too.

Mr Wrong (the Ellen Degeneres one) Clifford Mr Mikes Mondo Video (went to see this in the theater, the girl at the booth warned us people were asking for their money back, made me want to see it all the more)

Yelling? There was a Stonehenge monument on stage... in danger of being crushed... by a DWARF! MICKEY! Why don't you just fix the choreography so they don't trod upon it?

Friday After Next Never Back Down Cloverfield Maybe a Hallmark Christmas MovieMaybe? At least four cheaply produced movies(Fake snow? In July?) per season that have assembly line scripts. And I'll say this now. Cloverfield rocked.

And I'll say this now. Cloverfield rocked. Haha, I don't get their Christmas in July nonsense, it's just weird. As for Cloverfield, I do agree that it did rock, and I followed the viral marketing for that movie from July '07 till the time it came out, I was borderline obsessed, lol. Then I loved it when it came out and saw it multiple times in theaters. I also shared my obsession with all my friends and defended it to all naysayers. But, when the hype wore off it wasn't as awesome as I remembered, and things that I once defended I ended up agreeing with the naysayers (like Hud being annoying). It's just one of those "I was obsessed with that?" type of things. I still enjoy it though.

(By the way, I just screened "Tap" for a neighbour who had never seen it and she loved it too.) Preach it! I was perplexed with some of the answers as well. Enough Said is an AMAZING movie that got a ton of critical acclaim. It is one of the best films I have seen in the past 5 years. No way is that a guilty pleasure. But, it does seem like maybe they just weren't initially quite sure what "guilty pleasure" meant. Some of mine? Buffy the Vampire Slayer (the movie, which rules) Problem Child 1/2 (that little bastard kid is hilarious) Rookie of the Year City Slickers 2: The Legend of Curly's Gold To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday The Odd Couple 2 (not a fan of the first film, but really liked the second for some reason. I guess I found really old Lemmon and Matthau funnier) -There are others I was too embarrassed to even put on this list.

And I see no reason to feel guilty about Duel, Dawn of the Dead, or Reservoir Dogs. Agreed. I think a few of may have misunderstood what a "guilty pleasure" movie means. It doesn't mean one in a genre you don't typically like that may seem surprising to people. It means a movie that majority regard as crappy that you actually like a lot.
