Just thought I would start a current NFL thread.
Since my Giants are out...
I would love for anyone to steamroll the Pats. I would love if Matt Ryan got another shot at him, or another vet guy like Breas carried the Saints or if Newton got another shot. I also really liked the Rams this year, as Goff did better than I thought he would. Not sure how the Bills/Jags game is gonna go, but THAT should be interesting. I find the Titans and the Chiefs both boring so I don't care about that one.
Thoughts?

If they can beat the Steelers or avoid them, it's ring #6!

Even though they humiliated my Bengals in week 14, gotta root for the Vikings to go all the way. Their coach Mike Zimmer was the Bengals old defensive coordinator. Call me crazy, but they're going to play all three of their games in their own stadium.

OTH, The Chargers have played like they're still in San Diego, typically just missing the playoffs.

Today we get to see if a 49 yard touchdown pass on 4th and 12 with 44 seconds left was worth it.

The Bills still don't want it badly enough. Not sure why I torture myself every year.

I'm getting the sense that donations to the charity of Andy Dalton, hero of last Sunday evening, will come to a screeching halt.

Steelers beaten by the Jags. Patriots vs. Jacksonville for a trip to the Super Bowl. I'm liking these odds.

Stefon Diggs, inches of green between his right foot and the sideline, catches the game winner for the Vikings. Unnecessary, but otherwise required extra point must be kicked. And that might take awhile.
EDIT: What is the point of an extra point kick, if the time expires?

It is an "extra" point. You got the touchdown, then the extra point. First's the touchdown, then the extra point. You got that?

All I'm saying is, if there's a play that's basically like a buzzer beater in basketball or a walk-off home run in baseball, what's the point? (No pun intended) Not to accuse them of being bad sports, but the Saints were back in their lockers.

If an extra point doesn't occur in OT after the game is won, there's no reason to enforce it in the situation in today's game. If you can go for two, why not go for none?

Since the 1960's, so I've done my share of suffering. I was a Chargers fan for almost fifty years ... endless suffering. The high point was the January 1982 playoff win over Miami. My ex and I over celebrated and were 86ed from a bar.

Their only win was a 2-point victory over the Colts. That was a brutal year.

1. As mentioned elsewhere on thesy boards, my birthday is today. I picked the Chiefs and Saints to win. Going all the way back to Super Bowl 19 (my Roman numeral knowledge is failing me), the teams I've picked to win run out of luck.
2. I'm a Bengals fan. They're supposed to be getting a new coach. But the damn announcement won't be made until after the Super Bowl, two Mondays from now. And the Dolphins are in the same boat. The team, not the fish.

Unless the Bengals are hiring a coach with the last name "Lombardi" or possibly "Christ", you may want to switch to another team to root for. A shame that Cincinnati has had nothing to root for recently.
