I always thought Dinky Donuts was a name they used because they weren't allowed to mention Dunkin Donuts by name.
Little did I know Dinky Donuts is an actual donut chain. I'm Swedish and we do not have that chain here but I looked it up just now and found out the truth.
In similar news, I also thought Kenny Rogers' was a fake chicken chain as well.

As chicken chains go, Kenny Rogers is very real. For some odd reason, Marvin Hamlisch chicken didn't go over that well.

I've lived in America all my life, and this is news to me. "Dinky" does not a sound like a very good name to call your food. I've also never seen a Kenny Rogers Roasters.

They had a Kenny Rogers about 20 years ago in the city I grew up in. Good reputation, but it closed after about two years. No clue why.

Strangely, the only area where it survived is in Asia! Number of locations 156 (Worldwide)[1] Area served Malaysia, Philippines, China, Indonesia, Singapore, India, Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Dubai

Unclear if the Dinky Donuts chain in the UK, established in 1986, would have been known to Seinfeld writers. The US chain's website says "Dinky Donuts was βbornβ in our retail store BonBons.", only operates in Michigan and Florida, and appears to be somewhat new. I certainly don't recall such a chain in New York City. i remember Kenny Rogers Roasters, but don't recall if I ever had a meal there. According to their website, only 1 US location remains, in California. The rest are in the Middle East and Asia: Kenny Rogers--becoming more Asian??

Kenny Rogers has a cult following. He can't even walk down the street in Kuala Lumpur.

I prefer to remember the days when Kenny was actually cool. The female (#3 in the picture) is wearing a foofy shirt. Kenny Rogers appears to be dressed like a dandy, as well.

The First Edition was originally known as The Cissys, as an homage to the older daughter on Family Affair. When they ordered outfits for the cover art over the phone, well....sometimes you have to be specific.

I concur that our friend Kenny Rogers makes a lot of money here. Of course, he already has a lot of money. Kenny does very well, very well (look under 'K'): www.pacificplace.co.id/directory/dine/

That place has decent Chinese food, specializing in comfort food, but I hate the name and how they decorate the restaurants. It's like we get it, you really like Communism and pop art.
