For me The Derby was overshadowed by my step-step granddaughter Justine Klaiber's win at Los Alamitos near Long Beach, CA She became the first female jockey to win a race with a million dollar purse. Not only that, she was a 23 to 1 longshot! |

For me The Derby was overshadowed by my step-step granddaughter Justine Klaiber's win at Los Alamitos near Long Beach, CA She became the first female jockey to win a race with a million dollar purse. Not only that, she was a 23 to 1 longshot! A million-dollar purse? It must have been diamond-studded. I'd be afraid to carry around something like that. Not that I carry around purses. No, sirree.  |
