Their plan is to drag out this standoff for as long as possible. If they don't play, they can't be in the cellar. Every team has the same record.

They hosted the Columbus Clippers, then a Yankees farm team. |

Alexander Wells posted a 1.10 ERA over his final nine starts at Triple-A Norfolk.The Norfolk Tides? I saw them play in their home park on my birthday in 2006 when they were still affiliated with the Mets. They hosted the Columbus Clippers, then a Yankees farm team. Yup, there's nothing like a bunch of guys sitting around chewing gum, watching the Tides and the Clips do battle. |
