I have rewatched every film he has directed over the past several days. Not a bad one in the bunch. Best to worst, I would rank them thusly.
The Hateful Eight Inglourious Basterds Pulp Fiction Reservoir Dogs Death Proof Django Unchained Kill Bill vol. 2 Kill Bill vol. 1 Jackie Brown

Except for the "Kill Bills" I have seen them all more than a few time. "Hateful Eight" only twice but very impactful. So:
"Pulp Fiction" "Reservoir Dogs" "Death Proof" "Jackie Brown" "Inglourious Basterds" "Kill Bill, I & II" "Django Unchained"
I guess I need to see "Django Unchained" another time because I don't see what's so great about it at all. Even Leo's scenes were just feh. I have seen it twice and I am just perplexed. Maybe someone here can enlighten me.

I'm still pissed that fucking Forrest Gump beat out Pulp Fiction for the best picture Oscar.

"Pulp Fiction" was way too "ahead of its time" to win any stupid mainstream awards. Don't sweat it.

Pulp Fiction Kill Bill vol. 1 Kill Bill vol. 2 Jackie Brown Reservoir Dogs Inglourius Basterds Death Proof
Haven't seen Django Unchained, or Hateful Eight. Honorable mention for True Romance, which he wrote the screenplay for. I'd fit it in between Jackie Brown and Reservoir Dogs.

I often put on "Pulp Fiction" just to watch the opening diner scene before the credits, but I usually end up watching the whole thing.

My order:
Pulp Fiction-****1/2/***** Jackie Brown- ****/***** Reservoir Dogs-****/***** Death Proof- ****/***** Inglorious Bastards-****/***** (starts losing me in the last 20 minutes, but that first section with Waltz is an amazing scene) Kill Bill Volume 1- ***1/2/***** Kill Bill, Volume 2- ***/***** (first half good, the second half with her and Bill was way too long and boring imo) Django Unchained-***/***** (only saw once; should see again, but also remember thinking it was way too long) The Hateful Eight- **1/2/***** (only saw once, but it was less than a year ago. Too long, derivative, and the violence against Jennifer Jason Leigh was a bit misogynistic.)

Definitely agree. He probably would have been better off condensing the second half and just making it into one long movie.

I wonder where his new movie will rank among us? Apparently, it will be about the events leading up to the Manson Family murders.
One thing's for sure, Tarantino won't slack in the soundtrack department. QT digging into the crates for 60's music will be very interesting.

Hopefully, he'll avoid what some other director does, *cough*Martin Scorsese*cough* and avoid any Rolling Stones tunes. I like them, but I've heard "Sympathy for the Devil" and "Paint it Black" enough in movies.

Now I can't listen to it without thinking of Goodfellas and Casino.

This is the ranking, and on this issue there is a-no a-debate! And no intelligent person can think-a differently!
