I've never seen a package of cookies that had a "Use By" date 15 days after they were packaged. Chips Ahoy last for months....years.

Klompus: I had to rip open the box of Chips Ahoy. It cut up my hand. Morty: It has a flap. Why didn't you use the flap? Klompus: Ahh, nuts to your flap. What are you going to do about my blood-soaked Chip Ahoys?

I got sick last night from some old Blackberries I found in my fridge. After I got sick, I found the package in the trash. NO NON-CRYPTIC EXPIRATION DATE! Beware, Driscoll's Blackberries! (Mine is identical, but reads "Product of U.S.A.")

I've noticed the same thing, as well. Apparently, for some packaged fresh fruit, a 'Best By' date is not required. I can understand it for fruits and vegetables that are chosen and bagged individually by the consumer, but for pre-packaged food, well...something seems amiss.

TIme for some holiday cookies. 🍪 👨🍳 🎅🏼 Get me some of those white fudge-covered Oreos. They're like $7 for a box of 20 cookies. You're working. You can afford it.
