Anybody seen it? It stars Larry David, who also wrote it with three Seinfeld writers, David Mandel, Jeff Schaffer, and Alec Beeerrrggg. It's extremely Curb-like, and also has a few actors from it. Any fan of the show should also like this.

When I saw the title of this thread I thought @znep27 was looking for a way to delete some of his old posts.

Definitely has that Curb/Seinfeld humour, story did get a bit loose towards the end but overall very enjoyable. I think Larry is better at writing for 30-45 minute sitcoms and not so much feature length films. 'Whatever Works,' is another good Larry David movie, written and directed by Woody Allen so the character is a mix of Larry and Woody which makes for quite the hilarious premise. Clear History: 7/10 Whatever Works: 8/10

Another one I meant to check out but never did. I've only seen the trailer. There is a scene where the character is in a cafe, looking at the television. It was filmed in a place in Beverly, Massachusetts where I used to have lunch every day.

It's on my list of Seinfeld-related things to watch, the other one being Sour Grapes. Have you seen any episodes of 'It's Like, You Know' or 'The Michael Richards Show'?

Yeah, I used to watch 'The Michael Richards Show.' Was a bit of fun but not the best thing on TV. You a fan of it DeltaHomicide ? Also, if you never get around to seeing 'Sour Grapes,' don't feel too bad, it really isn't good, ha.

I liked Sour Grapes. It was such a perfect length. And I loved the expressions on the characters faces.
But seriously, I thought it was funny. It's no Seinfeld, but what is?

True, @znep27. If you are looking for a bit of a laugh and a movie that doesn't take it self seriously then it is perfect, did have it moments. I think it could of been even funnier if they cast Norm Macdonald as Richie. That guy is gold, znep! Gold!

I thought The Michael Richards Show was okay, Hawkeye-Costanza. I mostly laughed at Richards' physical comedy, but the writing overall was pretty dull. Yup, I'm more excited to check out Clear History. I don't think Larry David is particularly proud of Sour Grapes being on his resume, so to speak.

Very true about the writing DeltaHomicide. I feel like I watched The Michael Richards Show because I missed Seinfeld and was hoping it would be something similar. Definitely give Clear History a go, nice easy going, fun film.

Sour Grapes wasn't great, but for a Seinfeld/Curb obsessive it's pretty entertaining. Very clear that it's written by Larry, and features plenty of actors that have been on Seinfeld/Curb.
Thanks for the reminder on Clear History. Never got around to watching it. Whatever Works was solid.

"Sour Grapes" was awful because of the premise, which was a weak clothesline for the story. "Clear History" was just so-so. Peeing while driving? Sockets halfway up the wall? Meh...
And one more time: WATCH "IT'S LIKE, YOU KNOW!" It's the closest thing to "Seinfeld" you will ever get!! And it's one continuous story, so watch them on YouTube, in the order of their broadcast. It's free for chrissakes!

'It's Like, You Know,' is the biggest scam perpetrated on the Seinfeld fan since 'It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia.'

The "Seinfeld Curse." Remember that? Julia Louis-Dreyfus success and CYE pretty much ended that as a phrase, but other than Jerry's standup, none of the four have done anything outside Seinfeld or CYE that I've really liked, before or since.

I don't blame casting agents for not wanting to hire them. You can't unsee George when Jason Alexander is in a movie or different TV show. Even when he had long grey hair and a mustache in Criminal Minds, I thought of him as Costanza.

That's true DeltaHomicide. Any time I see either of the four in anything that isn't Seinfeld my mind expects them to act just like their Seinfeld character. Being that as it is though, I would much rather star in one of the greatest shows of all time and have a legacy than a solid career as a supporting actor that isn't remembered Plus the money too..

I take it the Jason Alexander classic "Bob Patterson" didn't do it for you. Cancelled after one month!

The most successful actor to break out of a typecast, in my opinion, is Leonard Nimoy. He did lots of stuff. Good for him.
Least successful: Uh, George Reeves.
In that CYE episode when Jason goes on little rant about being typecast, Larry should have said, "Are you going to George Reeves us?"

The fact that julia louis dreyfus has starred in 2 hit series post-seinfeld is pretty incredible. Not to mention that she had no financial motivation to do it being a billionaire heiress.

Sour Grapes and Clear History are fucking awful. Larry can't write movies. He can't even get the length or width right, despite what some people say.

I am betting Larry David will eventually write a killer comedy movie of about 90 - 100 minutes one of these days.
