Any wrestling fans? Who's gonna win? WWE fan here. Was real surprised they started off with the men's one. Makes sense it wound up being almost all Smackdown ppl though. Smackdown sucks. Was kinda hoping Reigns would win bc the boos would have torn the roof down. I bet at least a handful of old school female wrestlers will be in the women's RR.

The men's one was a little disappointing because my boy Dean Ambrose wasn't in it because he was hurt. Would have been nice if it came down to Finn and Shinsea, I groaned at the possibility of Roman or Cena winning. Shinsea winning was awesome. Him and AJ is gonna be one hell of a match. I was disappointed with the Lesner match as i always am, too short, but with 3 big slow (old for Brock and Kane) guys I guess it is what it is. Woman's match was awesome, with a surprise not so surprising guest at the end. Smackdown does suck except for AJ.

Haha, yeah I read about Ronda "Head Movement" Lousey doin some shit at the ppv. Guess she needs a script to actually get a win now. Anyway, good riddance to overrated rubbish, she's wrestling's problem now and irrelevant to MMA.

I thought he was cool when in The Shield initially, but individually, not a huge fan. I don't like his real life personality. He seems like such a douche in real life, and I have seen/heard multiple interviews. Don't get me wrong, Reigns and Rollins seem like douches too, but honestly not as much as Ambrose. Ambrose strikes me as the type who would be a dick to kids too. Just my hunch. I am personally very entertained by the hatred for Reigns, because he will never ever be a face. It's funny to me. So I wouldn't have minded if he won. Cena would have pissed me off though. I would have been mad if he won. I am not a fan of Lesnar either. I don't find him to be an exciting wrestler. They treat him like an adonis and never make him actually wrestle for a long time. None of his matches are ever very long. Now Paul Heyman, on the other hand, I do love him. I was a fan of his when he was Paul E Dangerously in WCW. Women's rumble was good but Charlotte is my favorite current women's wrestler by far, so sucked a little that she didn't get to be in it. It also made me miss Chyna. Judge how you will, but I adored Chyna. Chyna, not Joanie Laurer. She was the only woman who could ever hang with the guys. No other woman has come close. She had the intercontinental title, for pete's sake!

Haven't watched wrestling since about 2002 though, what's the product like these days?

Quiet. QUIET! Don't you see? ALL wrestlers are douches! I don't necessarily feel that way. Even though I am pretty sure all are required to do charity work bc WWE does so much and basically puts it in their contract that they have to, some go above and beyond and do a ton of charity work outside of it, aside from also being super humble and nice to their fans (John Cena, Daniel Bryan, and Titus O'Neil, just to name a few current ones). Also, I spent days reading this amazing thread on a wrestling site where people talked about their real life encounters with wrestlers and pretty much anyone who ever met The Milion Dollar Man, Ted Dibiase, all say he was such an awesome, nice guy. Same goes for Ric Flair. I have heard nothing but people say how awesome he was to meet in real life and how nice he is. Of course almost all of these encounters with him were at bars, but nevertheless, he was apparently a very happy drunk. And even though he was pretty much always a heel on tv, they say Owen Hart was extremely friendly in real life as well. But yeah, I say about 85% of them are douches probably in real life. Scott Steiner, Brock Lesnar, and Dustin Rhodes (not Dusty, who was also supposed to be super nice) are notorious for being HUGE assholes in real life.

Haven't watched wrestling since about 2002 though, what's the product like these days? Honestly, I quit watching for many years and quit right before the Eddie/Chyna storyline, so I was more of a fan whenever she was in DX. I remember when she was just Triple H's bodyguard before there even was a DX and she would just beat up the other managers on the side of the ring every time he fought. I just always liked how she was really the only female wrestler who they treated as an equal with the male wrestlers. Charlotte is the only one who COULD do that as I think Charlotte could crush many of the male ones in the ring bc she is huge, but not sure they will ever have a woman fight the guys again like the did with Chyna. As far as nowadays, I really only watch the pay-per-views. Don't have time to watch the weekly shows. It's certainly not as good as it was in the Attitude Era, not even close. But there are still some great wrestlers. AJ Styles and Kevin Owens are great, but really, with the rosters now split between Smackdown and RAW, I am not as interested as I am not a fan of that at all.

Saw only two events live, one in 1989 and the other in the mid 1990s. The most memorable match was a "Harlem Street Fight" between Macho Man Savage and Bad News Brown. It was fast and furious, no pussyfooting. The one on YouTube from Canada is tame by comparison.
My favorites during this period were Hacksaw Jim Duggan (winner of the 1st Royal Rumble), The Honky Tonk Man, and The Bushwhackers. The Ultimate Warrior was in his heyday. The love interest during this period was Macho Man and Miss Elizabeth.
I lost interest after The Rock's initial retirement in 2004. The Rock is my all-time favorite.
The most electrifying move in sports entertainment!

Growing up in Calgary the Hart family was well known. Brett and Owen (RIP) were all over the city. They came to my PE classes in elementary, coached t-ball, did tons of charity work. Despite what people say about Brett I found him to always be a stand up dude.
