I became a Ed Wood fan because of the Seinfeld episode "the Chinese restaurant"...
I think Plan 9 From Outer Space is Ed's most popular film...

I'm more of a fan of the movie Ed Wood which seems to be a better job of showcasing his 'talent'.

They are unwatchable. You know how some movies have a rep as "being so bad they're good?" Well, Ed Wood's movies are so bad that they are...bad.

Jail Bait, maybe not the most popular film compare to Bride or Plan 9, it seem Ed had more money to work with this film than any other pictures...
Jail Bait looks actually like a real film, it shows Ed was a good director, but he never had enough money to make a decent film after Jail Bait, that is why his movies weren't that great...

There's a much earlier compilation in the little known but something of a cult classic It Came From Hollywood. Not as good as the biopic, but a whole lot better than sitting through any of those really bad sci-fi movies, waiting for the funny parts.

It's on YouTube and I will watch.

Ed Wood? Who wouldn't!
If you watch Attack of the Giant Leeches (it's on You Tube) you'll see a movie that would make Plan 9 look Spielberg-worthy!

His movies are bad, but they do at least have some entertainment value in their silliness. I've seen plenty of movies that I consider to be much worse than Plan 9 From Outer Space.

They should make Ed Wood 2...Depp kind of looks like Ed Wood in the later years before he died... There is so much of Ed's life to be explore in the later years of his career, like the porn era & how he lived poorly...

Yes the Lloyd Kaufman films are the worst of the worst...Except for the first Toxic Avenger, not the greatest, but not the worst either compare to the rest.

When I was growing up, my mother was always telling me, "Why can't you be more like Lloyd Kaufman?"

Why does he sound like Jon Lovitz? Depp once said his portrayal of Ed Wood was based on Ronald Reagan, Kasey Kasum, and the tin man from The Wizard of Oz.

They should make Ed Wood 2...Depp kind of looks like Ed Wood in the later years before he died... There is so much of Ed's life to be explore in the later years of his career, like the porn era & how he lived poorly... That's funny and a bit sad. Poor Johnny isn't aging well. There is so much of Ed's life to be explore in the later years of his career, like the porn era & how he lived poorly...
That's very true. His career didn't stop with Plan 9. I remember seeing one of his later films, I guess it was a porn movie. He starred in it and it was really stupid. He was a pretty unattractive guy and watching him fooling around with a bunch of young girls was kind of gross.

He was a pretty unattractive guy and watching him fooling around with a bunch of young girls was kind of gross. That would be the problem with a sequel. I think the real Ed was a rather unsympathetic character. Ed Wood worked because of the main's character's funny quirks and, more importantly, he was portrayed as sympathetic to Bela Lugosi. In reality, I'm not sure Ed and Bela were even remotely as close as depicted in the movie. Bela was an old, washed-up junkie who was happy to get any work to support his habit, and Ed, far from being the idealistic filmmaker shown in the movie, was simply out to make as fast a buck as he could. His reticence to ever do more than one take was telling of that. After Bela died, who could they use to chum up with Ed? He was never exactly a success, anyway, and it sounds as if he went rapidly downhill (which wasn't all that far), pretty quickly, living a miserable life of poverty and really bad, softcore porn until he eventually died.

His second wife Kathy found him in the bedroom...He died of liver failure, too much alcohol...Ed's mother said he died of something else, but she would not say...

I've been told my voice is a combination of Carol Channing, Krusty the Clown and Truman Capote. It's very refreshing.
