But one-word sentences are OK? Go figure. I hate exclamation points... You should have put an exclamation point after that. Just sayin'

"The Rye" (after George discovers that Frank took it back) is the dumbest episode resolution in the series' history. All George had to do is buy a bag of groceries and hide the rye in the bag. Then bring it out when he is left alone to put them away! All that fishing rod stuff was stupid and not even very funny.

I realize voting for The Soup Nazi is clichΓ©, like a Zeppelin fan saying his favorite song is "Stairway", but there's a reason why the episode ranks so high - it's very funny.
Not just because of the iconic Soup Nazi, either. We get Schmoopie, lots of Newman, and it's the first time we're introduced to Cedric and Bob. Plus I love how the real soup guy was thoroughly pissed off at this episode.
I think it's the tops!

Make that eight-way. I just cast my vote for "The Wink." Aw, way to go, Winky.

The Gum? The Gum is tied for the lead? No. There's dissension on this board. We're trying to have an election here and you guys are Gary Johnsoning and Jill Steining up the place. No Gum. Okay. No Gum!

I like COO-kies, but you don't see me voting for it. There's no episode called "The Cookies." Mr. K-uger: "Maybe there should be a 'Cookies.'"
George: "Oh, no."
K-uger: "Geooorge."
All: "Cookies! Cookies! Cookies! Cookies! Cookies! Cookies! Cookies!"
George: "Cookie's gettin' upset!"

I smell another tiebreaker coming. I might soften my stance on changing my vote a little should the opportunity arise.

Of course! [throws hands in the air]. Now The Gum is ahead. Are we not living in a society?

Alright, alright. You see? This is why I hate voting with a large group. Everybody has their own little opinions, and it all gets homogenized, and you lose the whole edge of it. I'm going with The Rye! The Rye is the episode! The Rye!

Now see, this is what the board is all about. Two buddies, sitting around, chewing rye.

Great scene, nuts! I'm torn between "The Wink" and "The Calzone."
Anyway, this clip has that scene plus the preceding ones (Newman stiffing George, Kramer slipping on the sidewalk). Hilarious!
and the calzone has some creed magic!

Not gonna change my vote, I'm sticking with The Engagement- the best season-opening Seinfeld episode by far. Should the three way tie holds, I will vote for the episode that is not The Calzone (better than The Engagement, seriously?).

Bunch of people are switching votes. What is this, Boca?
I still haven't voted. Need to rewatch Soup Nazi and Rye back to back, Shmoopie.

I prefer The Rye, but if The Calzone wins, I'm cool with that. It's a good eppy.

The more we use it the fewer ties there will be since losers will tend to be abandoned. The eppy I'm voting for is not actually my favorite, but my favorite that has a chance of winning!
